Overview:
Union Pacific (UP) Railroad turned to REMPREX to replace all of their existing gate systems within a one-year period. The existing gate system was at the end of its life and could no longer be adequately supported, so REMPREX provided a gate solution with all-new technology that reduced downtime and improved system throughput. The new Automated Gate System (AGS) added mobile app integration and tire inspection.

REMPREX designed, constructed, and project managed the installation of AGS lanes, truck portals, and tire inspection portals at ten UP facilities in five states. REMPREX also provided for complete site preparation which included all demolition, paving, electrical, fiber, and structural work. To reduce operational impact, REMPREX set up temporary manual gates. This measure was especially important during peak season, when delays would have been more costly.
